JAKARTA – Platform navigation Waze teamed up with Warner Bros Consumer Product and DC to bring the Batman and The Riddler icons to their app. This is done to commemorate 81 years of the comic character Batman.
Quoted from Mashable, Wednesday September 2nd, starting today, Waze users can select Batman or Riddler as their navigation icon. Not only icons, the audio guide will also be filled by Kevin Conroy for the characters Batman and The Riddler (Wally Wingert) in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Users can also change the car icon to the Batmobile and The Riddler race car on the platform. Waze until October 31st will provide Batman and The Riddler mood when using the traffic map feature.
“Considering the year we have been through, I think we all need the support of superheroes to guide our journey and there is no better way than to launch our first program featuring voice navigation, moods and car icons of these two global iconic characters,” says Waze’s head of brand program Erin Bellsey.

Kevin Conroy is known to be the same person who played characters in famous animation shows, films and even video games such as Batman Beyond, Injustice 2, Batman: The Killing Joke, Justice League, and also the Batman Arkham game. Wally Wingert has also taken back the role of The Riddler, the same character he voiced in Batman Arkham.
Waze’s Batman award comes right after the first trailer for The Batman was released. The film is not expected to hit theaters in October 2021.

Previously, Waze in July announced a new display in order to welcome the adaptation of new habits during the corona virus pandemic, a colorful display to represent the user’s mood while on the road. Waze also collaborated with DJ Khaled and Cookie Monster on Sesame Street to provide voice on its navigation platform.
