
JAKARTA – Telkom officially closed the Blanja.com marketplace platform. The online buying and selling shop which was pioneered six years ago through a joint venture with eBay, must be closed as of September 1 yesterday.
“As of October 1, 2020, Telkom will only focus on the e-commerce business in the corporate and MSME segments through Business to Business (B2B) transactions. This is part of the company’s strategic steps to develop the e-commerce business in a better direction,” said Director of Digital Business Telkom, Fajrin Rasyid in his statement, Wednesday, September 2.
In his statement, Telkom said they would focus on several initiatives to take advantage of opportunities e-commerce in the enterprise market. One of them is the UMKM Digital Market (PaDi) program which seeks to drive the local economy by utilizing digital applications.

“TelkomGroup expresses its deepest gratitude for the trust of the public and stakeholders who have joined and utilized Blanja.com’s retail transaction facilities, especially business players throughout Indonesia,” explained Fajrin.
The announcement was first made known through the official Blanja.com website, his party also confirmed regarding the closure of this marketplace, “With a change in business strategy made by BLANJA.com, we say that starting September 1, 2020 all purchasing activities at BLANJA will be stopped. ”
In addition, for users who still have a balance on Blanja.com, they can withdraw their money by withdrawing the balance from the BLANJA Wallet before September 30, 2020.
